Act shocked: TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan screens leak

Platinum's TMNT game sees yet another leak

You have to wonder what's going on in the PR department over at Activision - their latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game hasn't even been officially announced yet, but it's existence is quickly becoming one of the worst kept secrets in the entire industry. Could this all just be part of a new guerilla marketing technique, or have actual Foot ninjas infiltrated Acti HQ and made off with all their marketing materials?

So far, we've managed to get hold of the game's cover art, as well as a full list of achievements. Now a series of screenshots showing the half shell heroes in action have found their way onto the web, courtesy of gaming website Pure Xbox. Surely, a video of the game in action is going to leak any day now.

Excitingly, Mutants in Manhattan is being developed by Platinum Games, a studio character action game connoisseurs will know from their work on  Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising and the recent Transformers: Devastation. So, we can expect this to be a formidable scrapper and hopefully one of the best Turtles games since the glory days of the SNES.

Fans of the ongoing IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic will be glad to see that Platinum are basing the look of the Turtle's on artist Mateus Santolocou's excellent designs (see below) which strike a good balance between the Turtle's grittier, comic book look and their more light-hearted Nicktoon counterparts. Could this also mean comic book exclusive character's like Old Hob and Alopex will make an appearance? We live in hope.
